Press release issued 18th September 2018

Remote Diagnostic Technologies (RDT), provider of best-in-class remote medical devices for luxury yachts and the maritime market, is pleased to announce its attendance at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, taking place from the 26th to the 29th September, 2018. This is the first time RDT will exhibit to a maritime audience since it became a Philips Company in June 2018.

RDT is well-established in the superyacht arena, where its Tempus IC2, a fully integrated telemedicine solution for non-medical experts, is providing remote medical support and unrivaled telemedicine capability on-board hundreds of superyachts worldwide. The acquisition by the global player Philips acts as a significant endorsement of the capabilities of RDT and its Tempus technology and opens up exciting new possibilities to further develop RDT’s portfolio for the superyacht market going forward.

Medical provisioning on-board superyachts is critical in ensuring passengers and crew receive the best possible care and therefore outcomes. Tempus IC2 is a remote medical monitoring device that enables non-medical personnel to deliver care during medical events by connecting them in real-time to a shore based medical expert. The device measures and relays live vital signs from the scene of the incident so that the experts have access to as much information as they would if they were on-board with the patient. This allows them to make well informed remote treatment decisions, ensuring the most appropriate medical care is provided, potentially saving lives, managing cost and often avoiding the need to return to shore.

RDT will be exhibiting in the PRIVA lounge alongside its trusted partner MedAire. Please contact Roland Archdall, Global Head of Yachting to book an appointment to discuss your on-board medical set-up (rarchdall@rdtltd.com).
