On Monday 5th December RDT were proud to receive the 2010/11 International Trade Excellence in Innovation award.

Now entering their 4th year, the prestigious award, sponsored by Santander Corporate Banking, exclusively recognised the UK’s leading importers and exporters who have, in the face of adversity given the challenges posed by the current global economic climate, excelled over the past year whilst competing on the international stage.
UK businesses engaged in export, import, outward or inward investment, regardless of industry sector and that meet the eligibility criteria are invited to enter one of 9 regional heats to compete for a regional title. RDT won their Regional title in August 2011 after being up against 9 other shortlisted companies and were subsequently invited to attend the prestigious UK final hosted by Lord Green of Hurstpierpoint, Minister for Trade and Investment, at the House of Lords in December where RDT were announced winners of the Excellence in Innovation Award.

RDT are experts in the design and manufacture of pre-hospital care vital signs monitors. Specialist technologies include compact and highly integrated vital signs monitors for medical professional, intermittent and non-medically trained users.

The award-winning Tempus system provides innovate, easy to use and reliable monitoring solutions to help manage medical incidents in remote and challenging locations.
Following an unprecedented number of high quality applications the judging panel consisting of Phil Orford of the Forum of Private Business, Santander’s head of trade corporate banking and representatives from Eversheds and Creative Learning Consultants selected Remote Diagnostic Technologies from what was reportedly an “exceptional list of applications”.
In announcing RDT as the winner, Marcus Leach of International Trade commented: “Despite turmoil in global markets and the credit crunch, excellent companies, such as Remote Diagnostic Technologies, continue to show the country, the media and our political masters that UK business and industry are still world-beaters in many fields. International Trade is delighted to have had the opportunity to reward and show off these great British companies.”
