Software Engineer - Basingstoke Hampshire POSITION OPEN
This is a great opportunity for an engineer with embedded software experience to join the team at RDT developing next generation medical products. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of aspects of the design and development of the product software including managing the development of specifications, reviewing and approving designs, managing integrated system testing on the core product and will include a focus on tasks related to the development of features in the supporting software. The job will be office based in Basingstoke, UK.
Skills required
Essential
• A Bachelor of Engineering or Computing degree or equivalent from an accredited school in an appropriate engineering/technical discipline
• Working knowledge and at least 2 years experience of embedded and Windows software
• The job will require an aptitude for managing sub-contractors & working with customer technical staff plus a willingness to travel occasionally
Desirable
• Background in software design, verification/validation, and use of relevant software programming tools, for example Visual C++
• Experience of working within an organization operating an engineering quality system and meeting regulatory requirements
• Working experience of embedded software
• Strong interpersonal, communication, attention to detail and “self-starter” skills
• Ability to work as a part of a team, or individually while using own initiative
• First-class analytical & problem solving skills with a dedication to maintaining high quality standards

Maritime Sales Executive – Florida, USA - POSITION OPEN
This is a great opportunity for a highly driven sales executive to develop a large maritime territory selling a hi-tech medical monitor for use by medical professionals and non-expert operators in remote and challenging locations. The individual would ideally be well connected with US based yacht builders/refit yards. The target customer profile is a mix of yacht owners, management companies, yacht builders, shipping companies and other related industry specialists.
Skills required
Essential
• 4 years sales experience, with experience of face-to-face selling to the maritime industry
• Proven strong deal closing ability with clear evidence of past targets and attainments
• Excellent organisational, planning & time management skills
• Tenacious with a proactive approach to sales. You will need to be a “hunter” style sales person as opposed to an “account manager”
• Excellent presentation/demonstration skills
• Valid passport
• Own transport & driving license
Desirable
Based in the Fort Lauderdale area, or within a 30 minute drive

Engineering Technician – Basingstoke Hampshire - POSITION FILLED
This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate and is to support the verification and validation testing of a new electronic medical device. This will involve setting up tests, running tests and collating results. The successful candidate will gain experience working in a wide range of industry sectors on a high tech, market leading medical product.
Skills required
Essential
• A Bachelor of Engineering or Computing degree or equivalent from an accredited school in an appropriate engineering/technical discipline;
• Basic practical mechanical skills
• PC literate. Experienced in Word, Excel, and Internet applications.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions closely.
• Ability to record tests performed, their setup, results found etc. in a structured, ordered and timely manner.
• Own transport & driving license.
Desirable
Experience with basic test equipment e.g. for voltage, current, temperature measurement etc.
